In recent years, we have already been able to realise different projects for the De Groentuin BVBA nursery.
Last year (2014), we built 1.6 hectares of greenhouses equipped with a double acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) screening installation.
De Groentuin BVBA nursery in Merksplas (Belgium) is a family business managed by Guido Quirijnen, which grows paprika in a sustainable manner.
This year, we will realise a project of approximately 4 hectares. As foundations, galvanised and powder-coated ‘steel’ piles are used, which stand approximately 70 cm above ground level.
The roof of the greenhouse is made of 1.67 m-wide diffuse glass (Albarino) with 2*AR coating and, of course, hardened (frameless) roof vents are also used here.
The greenhouse is suitable for mounting a ‘triple’ screen at a later date, if required. The roof trusses are fitted with extra U-profiles for this purpose, which are welded onto the covering half-way along the truss. This year, a double ABS screen system with energy shades (Bonar & Svensson) will be installed, one against the ridge beam and one half-way along the truss.
