Bom Group moves to larger premises

Naaldwijk, 22 May 2015

On 4 January 2016 the BOM Group will move all its activities, namely: greenhouse construction, screening systems, climate systems and turnkey projects, to new premises, which are equipped with a modern office and spacious commercial space with storage and transshipment facilities, located at Kulkweg 40 in Hook of Holland, the Netherlands. The current location on the Slachthuisstraat in Naaldwijk, the Netherlands, offers insufficient potential in terms of logistics to enable further export growth.

After more than 25 years, the building at Slachthuisstraat 7 in Naaldwijk, the Netherlands, appears to be inadequately equipped to cope with the logistics of the growing volume of export transactions. Consequently, other ways to bring about structural improvement have been looked at for some time. The business premises on the Kulkweg in Hook of Holland – formerly known as the home base of Zwirs-Knijnenberg – not only offer spacious and modern facilities, but also more capacity to enable the efficient and competent logistics processing of incoming and outgoing goods. In addition, the newly constructed ‘Hoeksebaan’ provides a good connection to the Westland, the A20 and the A4. In the almost 50-year existence of the Bom Group, this again offers a new step in further (strategic) growth potential to markets which include the Middle East, America/Canada and Asia.

From November 2015 the relocation activities will effectively be set in motion to enable the organisation to become fully operational as of 4 January 2016.
The official opening of the new premises is expected to take place around the 50th anniversary of the Bom Group in March 2016.

The Board of Directors and our employees are proud of this challenging step, which is in keeping with the increasingly innovative vigour of the Bom Group. Both these momentous occasions – the relocation and our anniversary – will be celebrated with our employees and business relationships in an appropriate manner.
